So I need to move to brooklyn. Someone need a roommate? Because mine are ditching me to go to queens. And now I'm left all alone to fend for myself.

Boards are a week and half away.

I think I might cry or hit something. Or both.

And stupid boys with their stupid ways.

Dear Ben Gibbard,

I think I was a bit hasty in making medicine my calling. Before you ask, no I do not play the guitar (very well) nor do I play the drums. In fact, I don't know how to play any instrument but I do think I could play a mean tambourine. And I think DCFC could use a tambourine player. Now please don't be hasty in your decision. Talk to your bandmates, sleep on it, mull it over and then get back to me.

I'll be the one with the stack of books and a pot of coffee.

Sincerely,
Lisa

Here's a link for fans of House. Medical Reviews of House

Its episode guides that explain the differentials, what they mean, and how logical is it to presume its a certain disease/disorder. Well some of the them do, other are merely nitpicks at how they can perform every procedure possible.

According to the site, the guy who writes it went to med school and did a FP residency so he has an idea as to what he's talking about.

Anyway, something to check out.

Me I want a hula hoop

I love love LOVE Christmas music. I love 106.7 for playing nothing but Christmas music.

I just spent the past few hours doing nothing but searching for Christmas music.

Top 5 Christmas songs:

1. "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby
2. "Have yourself a merry littly Christmas" by Judy Garland
3. "Santa baby" by Eartha Kitt
4. "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)" by the Chipmunks
5. "Christmas Time is Here" from a Charlie Brown Christmas

Now all I need is snow and christmas lights and hot chocolate. And a tree. And presents.

Anyone see the commercial for the new Lexus? That parallel parks ITSELF.

Next thing you know, our cars will drive itself. And they won't be cars but spaceships.

Which honestly, would be pretty cool.

Also, Reese and Ryan split up? If they can't last, then what about the rest of us?

I think its time for a list.

Boooo to:
- Trip to Vegas being too long
- Trip to Vegas being too short
- Studying
- Not being able to go home for Diwali
- Never updating my LJ
- The boyfriend going to Cleveland (although Drew Carey claims Cleveland Rocks!)
- Stress making my skin breakout
- Sauce spilling on my pants this morning
- Spilling peanut butter on an envelop I needed to mail
- Typing in lists as if I'm making notes for class

tom cruise is a dreamboat

So it's after 10:30 (10:33 to be exact. I tell time very well.) and I was just catching up on my entertainment news. After my Guster situation, I realized it's time I got my nose out of my notes and into Entertainment Weekly.

TomKat are getting married.

Sometimes I watch Dawson's Creek in the morning. And if it's the episodes I like (omgJoeyandPaceyaresotruelove!) then I might even pay attention and not blow dry my hair. And I'll say the dialogue along with Joey and think back upon my teen years fondly.

And then I realize I'm no longer a teen and Joey had Tom Cruise's child and now she's going to marry him. And I think her head is bigger than his and that just bothers me.

And I totally abused the use of the word and, and I really don't care.

Guster has a new cd? And no one thought to inform me?

Good lord I need to stop studying. It's made my priorities all wonky.

It is 10:17 and if all goes according to plan, I shall be asleep by 10:30. It will be a thing of beauty.

Oh sleep, I can never get enough of you.

I am baffled by the number of first years that spend their lunch hour in the study room. It's only one hour. That's how long it takes for me to get settled in my cubicle. I mean, I need to get all my notes out, check my email, see whose on aim, chat with some people. THEN I can start studying.

And I thought my class was hardcore.

AVON! BREAST CANCER! MONEY!

My sister asked me to put this up so now I finally am.

SUPPORT THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER! AND MY SISTER WHO IS WALKING FOR IT! GIVE HER MONEY SO SHE CAN SAVE THE WORLD!!!

On October 7 & 8, 2005, I'll spend the weekend walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I will walk at least the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles), and I may choose to walk as far as a marathon and a half. Either way, it's a very long walk. The money raised goes to the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade, a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to provide access to care and to work toward finding a cure. I'm required to raise at least $1,800 to participate. Please help to support me and the breast cancer cause by making a contribution to my efforts. You can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message, which will bring you right to my personal page.

Thank you for your support.

So I was reading an article the other day about Lance Bass coming out of the closet. And to each there own and I think it's great that he came out.

But that's not the point. The point is that I was reading the article and had convinced myself that it was Clay Aiken coming out. Why I thought that considering there was a giant headline with the words "Lance Bass" and "Gay" is beyond me. But there I was reading it and thinking, finally Clay, took you long enough.

"oh make me a red cape, i want to be superman..."

I'm going to go see Superman Returns tonight. Mucho excited.

Just got a notice that I'm 2 credits short of graduating. This makes no sense and now I must call the registrar and yell at them. Goddammit let me graduate and be done with this nonsense.

I got tickets to see Fiona Apple and Damien Rice. And I have decent seats. I cannot wait.

We found a new girl to move into one of our rooms. Now I must muster up the courage to ask the girl whose leaving when she's leaving. I got this job because she already doesn't like me. Oh the dirty looks that I get.

Havent heard from kaplan yet but I hope they email me and say I can tutor and make money and not be a complete waste of space.

That covers everything.

Who wants to give me a job? I need money. And something to do this summer.

Or screw the job, and just give me the money so I can go to some fabulous tropical island where I do nothing but drink margaritas.

I'm currently watching The Closer. TNT has a marathon on. And there was also a 4400, Roswell, Making of the Band 3, and America's Next Top Model (where Yoanna wines) marathon on this past week.

Summer is the best.

Still finding it completely and utterly overwhelming that my first year ends in three weeks. Less than a month!

Not sure what to make of this past year. It was good and full of suprises and stories and lack of drama.

I went to np last weekend and it was good and sad. I got to see Nick Day and it was Take Back the Night so all the hippies were out (when are the hippies not out?). Went to bistro and convenient and played frisbee. How very new paltzy of me. And when we were leaving it was like this is it, never going to see this campus again.

Oh np. I want to hug you.

But we just talk about the people we've met in the last 5 years.
And will we remember them in ten more?

Are the blonde twins on the Acuvue commercial the same as the ones on 8th & Ocean? That mtv show about models.

...

Spring break was good. Fun and sun and all that. Got a decent tan. There aren't any pictures that I want to hide. Video diaries on the other hand should never see the light of day.

Apparently there are things you can do with mayo that don't involve bread and turkey.

face recognition part deux

This site just does not stop being the greatest thing.

I put in a picture of me wearing my dorky glasses so now I apparently look like Matthew Lillard, Eddie Murphy, Rob Lowe, and Larry King. There were some women in between.

Like Rose McGowan and Kathleen Turner.

I love the internet. Perhaps even more than my couch.

I think this may be the best spring break ever.

What do Aishwariya Rai, Eva Longaria, and Tara Reid have in common?

I was tooling around and I stumbled across this face recognition site.

You upload your picture and then the monkeys your computer scan it and match it up to celebrities. And as the person I stole this site from says "hilarity, anger, and confusion ensues."

I got Aishwariyra Rai (71%) as my first match. I think this website just wants to make you feel better about yourself so you keep going back for more. It's like crack.

My number two is Eva Longoria (70%).

So clearly I haven't discovered my true hotness.

...or they just matched me with people that have really toothy smiles.

In between there was Natalie Imbruglia and Anne Hathaway and Irene Cara. Who's Irene Cara?
